Fun fun and more fun
.:UPDATED:. My schoolies pics are up! Ask me personally for the password :)
Hey people who read my blog! :) *waves*
Well, today is my last day of being...I dunno what you call it...NOT an adult? Haha. That's right! In less than 9 hours I shall be an ADULT! Dun-DuN-DUN! *gasp* 'Emily? An ADULT? That's ABSURD!' I hear you say. Well tough luck because I will be able to legally drink, legally go into clubs....and...a few other legal things. Mwahaha!
I would like to say post-HSC life is G-R-E-A-T! There's no waking up early mornings and doing everything super quick and rushed, no obligation or guilty feelings about bumming around doing absolutely nothing that is practical, etc etc. I LOVE IT! Maha!
Hmm...at the moment the sky is very strange. It was blue and fine and cloudless, until a big ugly grey cloud came looming over us all sending out its calls of rage. Now I look out of my bedroom window and I see this uber fat cloud and next to it, pure blue sky. Go away cloud!!! Shoo!
Anyway...sorry for that tangent. As I was saying, life is great. I came back from Melbourne on Sunday and it was just an awesome experience and a whole load of Fun with a capital F! I hart Melbourne in so many ways haha :P It's so much more tourist friendly and slower and cleaner and...nice! I'll give you all an attempted quick recap of schoolies:
Wednesday: Got there early in the morning, all of us tired as hell. We dumped our bags at the apartment (check in time was 2pm) and went shopping with Jess' Aunt. I bought like...$90 worth of stuff EEP! We simply explored the city and adapted to our surroundings. At night we were so tired that we decided to get take away and eat in, followed by many card games and a bit of drinking. Me feeling a bit sick and facing heatstroke stayed away from the alcohol and slept early.
Thursday: Woke up at 9:30ish. Lesley, Smock, Ru made yummy breakfast consisting of toast, scrambled eggs, bacon and pancakes. We went to the Queen Victoria Markets, and then to Richmond for some factory outlet shopping. Then at night everyone exc. me (feeling a bit ill) went to Lygon street in search for a nice Italian restaurant.
Friday: Had a complementary breakfast downstairs at the hotel restaurant. Our day was spent at St. Kilda, first at the beach and then walking along...some road that I keep forgetting which has multiple cake stores = YUM! At night they took me back to Lygon st. and we had an Italian dinner. Afterwards, we went to Koko Black which is like Max Brennan's here. We caught this city tour kind of old fashioned car back home with this old grumpy man driving it hehe. Ru, Smock, Kirsten, Jenny, Stef, and Mel went clubbing.
Saturday:Sonki, Ru, and I went back to St. Kilda so that Sonki could reconsider buying this bag lol. In the end we didn't get it, but went to Jay jays and bought 3 items each (me and Sonki) haha I'm such a shopaholic!! We then met up with the rest who went to art galleries and watched the Lebanese festival, and went back to the apartment to prepare ourselves for the last night in Melb. We went to Brunswick (spelling?) street in Fitzroy and found a funky Afghan restaurant. It was packed so we had to wait 1/2 hour to get a spot, so we entertained ourselves by exploring this crazy interesting store across the road called "Polyester books - totally weird shit" which had tonnes of interesting reading material minus the excessive amount of porn/adult/x-rated material in there as well. There was a section where Freelance artists printed off their works to sell such as comics, poetry, stories, etc. Anyway, back to the restaurant...it was awesome! The seats were all 'rugged' and were kind of down on the floor and the table was long and short. We got our own private room upstairs which was really good since we were able to be as idiotic and drunk as we like much to Ruvani's dismay. The walls in our room were either filled with paintings, patterned rugs, or antique displays of some sort. It was magical! Anyway, we went back to the hotel - Ru nearly got hit by a car..twice...for the second time....that I know of.... and began packing and filming absolute crap cause we were so pissed (without any alcohol). Haha Ru noted that when we're on a high, we actually act like drunk lunatics...I wonder what we'll be like if we literally became drunk...hmmm disturbing thought!
Alors, I got 15 mins sleep...which didn't do me any favours. I felt like a log getting on that plane. We went to Melbourne with 7, and left with 5 haha no don't worry it's not like we left anyone behind! Smock stayed with Kirsten and Jenny (she left us on Thursday *sob*) and Ruvani stayed back and met up with her cousin and father later. Yay we got back to Sydney safely and boy does the weather here SUCK! Our travel to Melbourne was extremely lucky weather wise since it was suppose to rain and storm, but fortunately it was happy and sunny for the whole trip - and still is at this very moment I think!
The next few days are packed full of organisation, events, and more. I want to can't wait to turn 18 but I'm not so excited yet. I want it to kick in, but there's so much on my mind right now which is stopping me from letting it sink in. Oh well, hope it happens soon!
