As we go on...
Well hey fellow fanatics of my blog *waves*
I don't have much time and I don't think I should spent too much time on this considering the dreaded big H is in 18 FRIGGIN DAYS (*sarcastically* Thanks Jen for reminding me)!?!?!?!! Ehem anyway. When it hit me, sudden thoughts of 'Do I know this well?' and 'Have I done enough practice for that?' came flooding into my mind until it felt like my brain was about to explode. But stress less Em. Stress less. aahhh that's it. Feel the inner peace~ .....humm.....
Anyhoo, the reason why I madly decided to blog I am SO mad...I mean...who the hell blogs 18 days before their HSC?!?! is because I really really really wanted to talk about the last few days of school..very briefly A bit late loser. You see I was going to blog after Nov 2nd Woopeeee but I mean that just kills the moment doesn't it? It won't be as 'fresh'!
Okay let's get rolling. And yes I am speaking in two voices...well I was...no I'm fine now. Ooookay anyway....
Last few days were mad - and I mean utterly mad and filled with emotion, excitement and chaos, but wonderful chaos mind you. First there was the Staff Concert and omgosh I have never seen teachers like that before. I guess it's because they feel safe that the rest of the PLC community won't ever see them this stupid (we weren't allowed to film or take pics). Highlights definitely would have to be Mr Bou...[okay I'm not going to even try to spell his name, but yes the ehem I don't want to say this but 'HOT HISTORY DUDE' as he is labelled amongst us Pymblings] getting down and dirty with Ms DeSo...[I'm not going to try and spell her name either bah I suck at spelling! >.<]. Down and dirty dancing that is. My goodness what were YOU thinking Hummm?? Tsk tsk for SHAME on your dirty mind. :P
Another highlight would have to be the maths teachers singing their 'somebody' song - that was the first time I cried because of year 12 related things. It was so sweet to hear their rendition of 'All things bright and beautiful, all seniors big and small' *tears*. It was so SWEET!
I absolutely LOVED the english department omgoodness they are such a HILARIOUS and ...rather disturbing bunch!! The image of Wysey with her tribal-like dance and her serious eyes as Abigail....Mrs Meenahan with her 'brooke' looks and fantastic black wig....Mrs French in her bonnet crying out 'Heathcliff!!!'...and Miss Pullin in that short mini skirt damn she has legs damn damn damn lol
And of course who could forget the Rev's song - what a TEAR JERKER! For all you non-Pymblings, he played on his merry guitar and sung to 'Teenage Dirtbag' but the chorus went something like this: 'Coz they are not teenage dirtbag babies, they are pymble college ladies', wearing that tartan something something ooooohhhh' *sigh* such graet memories!!
Moving onto the last day of school. We blocked the gates for trainliners and prepared to stick those sticky stickers labelled with 'YEAR 12 LOVES YOU' on inferior Pymblings teehee. Also we had markers to right random things on girls as well, but that quickly came to an end when one of the younger girls had an allergic reaction to the pens...eep... You may think we are some chicken year not being evil to the rest of the school, but I present you with two reasons for this:
1) We weren't allowed to 'misbehave' or 'disrupt' in any manner ie. have a muck up day. Otherwise we would be suspended/expelled/thrown into the paddock with Smartie hahaha
2) We are such a nice loving bunch of girls =)
The signing of the white shirts commenced as year 12s furiously searched for coloured markers off friends to scribble quick yet slightly meaningful messages on each other. The chest area was quite popular lol. Olivia and Jess got mine !! Anyhoo what was first...oh yes Biology. We had a wonderful biology breakfast and [insert plug here...] you may see these photos on my delightful photo website which is just to your left under 'regardez' yes yes do click there! Biology breakfast consisted of stealing (well it's ours anyway) the toaster from the kitchen down to the lab and burning a lot of toast and waffles, devouring pancake after pancake that were actually cooked using the electric stove that someone had brought in (thanks to whoever it was btw!!), and just eating and smiling in general. Then there was Maths and the whole lesson became devoted to signing each other's shirts and taking photos with Ms Lau. We tried to get here to have a 'funny photo' and alas we succeeded with a mere peace sign and cheesy smile from her! Awwww =) Third period was French (grumble) and SHOCK HORROR we were doing HSC trial listening papers *groan* and more work. However, we managed to slip in to Mme Meunier the fact that it was the LAST DAY of school and we would have no more lessons EVER after this lesson. She was quite surprised thinking we'd be here on Thursday so we ended up taking some photos. *sigh of relief* Year Assembly was next and we made our way to the Lecture Theatre and there we witnessed the senior tutors sing and do a little dance (make a lil looove get down tonight wooo!).
After lunch was the HSC talk blah blah...and then we headed excitedly and trembling down to the ampitheatre for the COUNTDOWN! Man was it tightly packed. 250 (?) girls squished onto such a small space!!! Each time someone tripped, everyone would move, with the occasional few tumbling down to the ground. We had a medley going which included songs like Kelly Clarkson - Break Away to songs like Spice Girls - Wannabe. This went on for about 15 minutes; the air filled with bubbles from our bubble machine and the little champagne bottles we were given (I MISSED OUT SOMEONE TOOK MORE THAN ONE GRRR!!), the ampitheatre surrounded by the rest of the senior school crowding around watching us act like monkeys..HAPPY monkeys maaha! Then...the countdown --> 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2...ONE! DUUNN!! *school bell* YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY!!! Everyone cheering and screaming, 20 balloons no more no less released into the big blue sky, bubbles flying everywhere, girls hugging, girls crying. It was an experience I'll never forget. Emotions overwhelmed me as I went from ecstatic and crazy to sentimental and distraught - I would be leaving this all behind! I couldn't believe it. After 10 years at Pymble...!! Tears began streaming down my face as I hugged anyone in our grade as tightly as I could. *sniff*
Ooookay wow I have written a lot...but no no I can't stop here!! Let's keep it moving!! Thursday was the beautiful Chapel Service which involved:
Hymns 'Shout to the Lord' and 'Lord of the Dance' for us junior school girls (ahaaa spong I still remember it off by heart!! Yeaahh!!)
Little prep school with the Rev singing 'the prayer' arrrgh *cries*
Ines and Monk saying their truthful, sweet and touching prayer
Claire (head prefect) nearly breaking down during her speech as she gathered herself together by adding an extra line "It's time to be humble..*sniff*..and it's time for a tissue" Hehe you're amazing :)
The AMAZING song that Deb composed which Isha and Lucy sung to *sobs* 'spread your wings, go and show them what you're made of' It was soo saad yet soo...arrrggh
A year 12 video filming all the groups in our year, establishing the fact that we ARE the year of FRIENDS! *sigh* I couldn't stop crying...I mean..they just HAD to play the graduation song to accompany it didn't they!!
Cantori singing the sad and moving 'Irish Blessing' - I had to keep it together and not start crying after the video
The releasing of the doves was next. They were GORGEOUS and I felt so privileged to be holding a dove. aaaahh I LOVE BIRDS! And it was weird holding it and thinking about its release. As soon as we let them go, they all swiftly flew up together in one tight bunch and began circling around the chapel a few times. It was AMAZING. They were BEAUTIFUL!!! ARRAGHGHAWEORIFAGHGH!!
Afterwards, we had the morning tea and I walked around taking photos with teachers. Mrs Meenahan cried! It's amazing! And it made me cry too! :( We had final assembly to finish it all off and it felt so good to finally have a big assembly devoted to us :) Having the teachers remind us of stupid silly things when we were younger was great haha I can't believe Miss Ramsay still remembers me and my fetish for the cockatoos!! Hehehehe!! Also it was so funny hearing the grade singing their heads off in the hymn as well as the school song =) So memorable! I LOVE PYMBLE!!!
Me, Jasmine, Brindaa, Minami, Amanda, Swaz, Lauren, and Evelin went to Chatty GPK after for a very late lunch. The pasta me, Ev, and Jay had was SOOO YUMMY ARRGH *Drool*. I think it was spaghetti with capsicum..and other delightful delicious things! I also met two cheery blokes who decided to greet me when I went upto the counter to ask for water. Then when they left one shook hands with me and the other, well I had a chat with him about us finishing year 12. :)
Finally, Valedictory Dinner. I have no words to describe this night. It was soo...hmm spectacular and dazzling with the big PYMBLE 2005 balloons and the great hall decorated with pearly coloured balloons! There was a video that ran throughout the whole night repeatedly on the 4, 5 or so television screens that hung across the hall with random films of us. I was seated at table 56 with my parents, Ines and her mum, Spong and her parents, and Stef and her parents. Such a happy asian bunch lol! Everyone was dressed radiantly and looked so mature and gorgeous! Entree was some sort of cold quiche with 2 REALLY YUMMY sundried tomatoes. Main course was steak and potato and cheese I think? Dessert was pavlova with strawberries and some strange sauce that looked like chocolate sauce but was actually sour??? Does anyone know what it actually was? Deb, Isha, and Lucy performed the song once again which nearly made me cry but I was determined not to ruin my make up haha :P There was dancing afterwards which lasted for practically 2 hours and everyone just let lose and partttiedd including the teachers! It was so much fun!!!
*pant pant* Man that was ONE LONG BLOG! Arrggh.. But I feel like I haven't said so much. Year 12 was amazing. It was full of crappy assessments and tiresome work, but in the end I guess it was all worth it. The memories I have of the last few days/weeks/this whole year in general are irreplaceable and priceless. They are so unbelievably special. :)
